May 12th Update

Tyler’s blood tests showed that he is now more susceptible to germs and must remain close to home so as to avoid picking up any viruses. Visitors have to be limited, so Tyler and the Wallis Clan spent a quiet Saturday at home enjoying their time together. Their day started off with delicious omelets, and Tyler convinced his Dad to help him tidy up his room. He has so many toys and gifts to organize that his room now resembles Toys R Us! He had a good day today, and fell asleep before 9 o’clock. He is slated to return to the hospital next weekend for another round of treatments.

Hello! My name is Olivia, and I work at Curves (where Joyce Harney works out!!) I heard about Tyler a couple of weeks ago from Joyce and she gave me the adress of this support web page and I've been keeping up with what's been going on with Tyler (he's a cutie!!). I am very touched that you have the strength to keep this page running in the midst of the whole situation. I know it's hard, but you're doing a wonderful job of supporting Tyler, and truth is, he will pull you through this. Kids are stronger than we can imagine, and their spirit is so pure. My brother Trevor was diagnosed with ALL when he was 2, and he pulled all of us through it, including himself. He had the help of the wonderful team at the Children's (even if we dread the 8th floor clinic and the onchology clinic, the staff is AMAZING!!) He's now 10, happy and healthy. This is just to let you know, that HOPE is what keeps us going, and the rest will follow. I remember asking God why he put good people in bad situations and really, the answer is that bad things happen to both good and bad people, but the difference is that good people have good people around them, just like Joyce and your family. Tyler has you, and he will shine for you. In the most difficult and darkest of moments as in the best and most encouraging moments; pray, pray, pray, and the prayers will keep on coming from people all around you, including me. I will continue to follow up on the progress, and if you feel lost and need a few words from someone who knows a little bit of what you're going through, and how scared you are and how happy you will be when his CBC gets closer and closer to normal, email me at olivialuengo@hotmail.com
I'm sure you have plenty of whet you need in your surroundings, know that people are there and want to help.
I'll be praying. Olivia. YOU CAN DO IT TYLER!!!
